Various Honeywell sites currently
subscribe to a number of aircraft information systems
developed and marketed by
Avsoft
Limited, Warwickshire U.K. The ACAS (AirCraft and fleet
Analytical S ystem) product is the most widely
used Avsoft product within Honeywell. Licensing of
this application is typically by site; refer to the
ACAS Subscribers list for a listing
of Honeywell sites. For other Avsoft products refer to
Avsoft New Products. Note that most
of these products have optional modules and not all sites
have all the modules.
The ACAS application provides
details of fleets, utilization (hours/landings), history,
orders, addresses, maintenance capability, inspection
intervals, and forecasts for fleet utilization &
maintenance. As of July 2000 over 36,000 individual aircraft
covering 100 airplane types are included in the ACAS
database. ACAS is typically loaded to a server and accessed
from local PCs (thin client).
ACAS
Update News is posted each month to ensure that
casual users can review any application changes that have
occurred since their last use.
A brief explanation is available
from Overview of the ACAS Product while
an in depth explanation is available from the
ACAS Electronic Brochure. If your
site is on the
ACAS Subscribers list and you
require access call the local PC help desk.
Access and Installation
Instructions differ by site and are available
from this site or by calling your local PC help desk. The
ACAS utilization data (hours, landings, fleet counts, and
ownership) is also imported to various Honeywell reliability
reporting systems such as PIPS (Product In-service
Performance Support). Various other Honeywell applications
make use of parts of the ACAS data (E.g. ATLAS-(The
Aerospace TotaL Account System) Enterprise Relationship
Management (ERM) System)).
