QUALITY & RELIABILITY REPORTING SYSTEMS - ISDS
ISDS
(Honeywell In-Service Data System)
The Honeywell
In-Service Data System (formerly the AlliedSignal In-Service Data
System, AS-ISDS for short) is a shop findings collection application
built to support the Boeing In-Service Data Plan (ISDP). The
application is used to collect shop repair data as well as
production quality data for grading and submission to
Boeing.
The H-ISDS application
consists of a relational database residing in the same Oracle7
database that TRACE uses and a PC client
application.
The PC client allows
the user to do the following:
- View airplane complaint data (pilot/maintenance
squawks), maintenance actions, and component removals
- Enter, edit, and print shop repair data,
including findings
- Acquire shop repair data electronically from
source shop systems (CARE, ROMACS, and GOLD)
- Enter and view production quality data (# of
units passed first test vs. # units built)
- Enter and view repair receipt counts (# of units
received into shops)
- View code tables (many fields
codified)
- Control system tables and user access (for
administrator only)
- Submit EIFF (electronic interface file format,
Boeing's data exchange format ) file
The H-ISDS facilitates the process of entering shop
repair data into an EIFF file to be submitted to Boeing. The
Boeing ISDP requires each participating supplier to submit the
previous months repairs to their ISDP database for sharing with
participating airlines. The application allows collection of
this data, via data entry or electronic load, and "grading" per
Boeing's criteria before submission.
